Winner of the RCM Gold Medal in Elementary Piano Pedagogy
The Teacher:
Julieanne Lawrence
I have been playing and studying the piano for over 40 years. My passion is for teaching beginner and early level piano students of all ages although I teach all levels of piano. I also specialize in teaching students with ADD, ADHD and Autism. I will provide a solid foundation for continued learning and success. I have spent a great amount of time developing my approach to teaching young beginners and special needs students. I believe in a one on one lesson plan that is tailored to the individual needs and level of each student. By using several different beginner books, I hope to instil the love of music in each of my students.
In starting lessons at Julie's Notes students will:
- be introduced to the world of music through games and activities
- learn proper piano technique
- develop ear, rhythm and pitch awareness
- learn to read musical notation
- have fun!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your child music. Music is a valuable part of our lives and I hope to see your child's life enriched through the joy of learning how to play the piano. I aim to make this a fun, educational and rewarding experience for each student.

Location:
Julie's Notes is located in Bolton Ontario. It is a short walk from Allan Drive Middle School, Ellwood Public School, Holy Family Catholic School and St. John's Catholic School. It is also close enough to Zehrs to get a quick shopping done while your child is in a lesson.
Parents are also invited to stay for their child's lesson, but please refrain from bringing siblings into the studio as this can be disruptive to the student.
